Well I found out how much metal you can lose from exhaust ports before busting through the water jacket. Surprising amount actually. So anyone have a spare head they can sell me so I can stop a little sooner this time?

I had that happen the other day when my machinist thought he could install new seats... There are shops that can repair it and re harden the valve seats but it is very expensive.

Its actually aout halfway along the port, seats are still fine. It's such a sharp turn, I just got a little bold after i had already managed so much. Trust me though, it's toast. Just need to start over, but this time I know when to say when a least

I have two heads, pm me if you are interested

'82 300D -3" straight pipe, ALDA deleted, 3in1 glowshift gauge, HX30, egr-less manifold, A/W intercooler Big Grin
'14 Ram 6.7l cummins -G56 handshaker, wishing it was deleted

1987 Mazda B2200 "outlaw" **planning phase**  Chevy 283, Power Pack heads, Edelbrock carb and intake, turbo 350 trans Smile
1985 Mercedes 300D stock for now
