On my w123 cluster, there is aaslot foran air temp gauge, but mine didn't come with one. When i was looking for other info and images I noticed a lot of them were like mine. Did the US 123s come with this option or not?  I have one from a w124 with the connector, can this fit in easy? Has anyone done this before?  I'm going to try when I get my LED bulbs for my cluster, since it has a mechanical oil pressure gauge I only want to take it off once.

I've never seen one on a w123 in the states (looked at tens of dozens in the yards). I removed an entire setup from a w124 in the yards years ago and never got around to installing it. It did appear to fit and would work with minimal mods (only like 4 wires on it). They were in some w126 of the same era.

W123 Mods: 4 speed ** manual climate control ** '85 Kalitucky intake ** manual windows & full tint ** Euro headlights retrofit w/bixenon projectors ** 4 brake light mod ** Vogtland 50mm drop front & Lesjofors S600 drop rear springs ** 16" rims ** late w126 brake spindles, rotors & calipers ** full suspension rehab ** Bilstein HDs ** AL129X alternator & 1/0 starter and charging cables ** 300GD clutch/flywheel ** AFCO 80103N radiator & Earl's 41610 oil cooler ** custom block-off plate, remote oil filter & t-stat ** MW IP w/ tomnik's 6.5mm 'Holly' elements **

S124 Mods: 400E Rear subframe ** SL600 Brakes ** Late 300E 210mm diff ** SLK230 6 speed ** 17" CLK rims ** Vented RF Fender ** Facelift Hood, Headlights, and Lower Cladding **

Got around to trying to fit the temp gauge from my late 1990 w124, not a direct fit, could probably be made to work, but I'm going to go a different route.
