Whats the best / correct location for an EGT probe on the OM606.962?

I have it mounted in the blank plug from the removed EGR pipe at the moment.

Anywhere before turbo, nearest to where it would see all gas flow is best (for averaged cylinder temp).

Installed:

OM606/722.6, big IC, W220 brakes.
Planned:
DIY manifold, compound, 722.6 controller, built IP.
[i]Less rust..

Nice turbo adapter Hario. It looks like it has more flexibility than fixed one like DPUK sells. Where can I buy one similar?

Ohh, I just saw you are in the US of A..

I uploaded the flange drawings herehttp://www.superturbodiesel.com/std/show...p?tid=4939 get them laser/water/plasma cut for real cheap, then buy 2.off: 2" ID weld-els from your local steel merchant, then buy: a 2.5"(IIRC) ID V-band adapter from your friendly parts store and get an even friendlier welder friend to mig it together for you for beers.

That is what I did.
