Hey guys, Ive been browsing around on here for a while and finally decided to join. Im running a fresh om603 in a w124 sedan with big plans, but right now im just trying to work out all the kinks. What ive got right now is two small fuel leaks one coming from the vacuum shut off lever and another from the plug at the top of the ip. I was wondering if anyone might have some insight as to what seals i might need to replace and where i can get them. Perhaps a diagram as well. Thanks a ton guys, ill post some pics in a bit.

The shutoff level should be leaking oil not fuel. If it is leaking fuel it is either coming from somewhere else or you have big problems! Could you define "plug at the top of the IP" a little better?

BTW, most folks on here run OM617 engines, and the OM603 doesn't have as much of a following here. Not sure why though, it is a fantastic engine! Smile You may try Peach Parts if you don't have any luck here.

OM617 are dirt cheap Big Grin.

Some red arrows on the pump would be great, but I second PeachParts etc. Are you sure its fuel and not oil at the lever? I have a core minus delivery valves I'll sell if you are interested.

Thanks guys for the relpy. I wish i knew how to do the red arrow deal. Is that a paint program thing. By plug up to, i mean the one next to the vacuum shut off pod in the back of the picture. It is fuel that is leaking. It could all be coming from the electric plug up top but it really seems to be coming from that lever. I tried peach parts, ive been a member there for a while but they didnt seem to know.

Google The Gimp and download it. Free picture editing software (better than mspaint). Its comparable with Photoshop 4

You should be able to open it up in MS Paint and draw some stuff on it. Be sure to save it as a *.jpg or *.png otherwise the file will be pretty large. I really don't know how you're getting fuel there. After that last injector connection, there shouldn't be any fuel. There should only be oil near any of the components after that. Is the fuel return line from the IP leaking? Maybe the fuel from that could get blown/sprayed to the areas you're seeing it.

Good lord man!! MS Paint is perfect for this... no need to bring in a super advanced tool with a huge learning curve! Smile

I'd hardly call Photoshop 4 "advanced" heh. But ya, ms paint will do the job, just make sure you save as png or jpg and not bmp (which I think is the default).
