Finishing up my OM617 Dodge Dakota swap, I'm down to a few hoses and some wiring.

First off, what is this little guy and where was he hooked up on the Merc Donor? Is it needed for an engine swap? Can I use it as a Fuel Shutoff Solenoid instead?

Second, I'm wiring up the Glow Plug Relay/Module and I found this 2 Terminal Plug hiding in the wiring harness that connects to the Glow Plugs. Where does it connect and is it needed on the engine swap?
