Hi!

Looking for a good 2,87 or 2,88 ASD diff for W124 chassis... Preferably in Europe.

Found in 3l sedans ('85 to '96) with automatic trans.

Thanks! Smile

Would also be interested in a 350SD or SDL diff with ASD! (2,82)

How much would you pay for it? I have W124 2.87 ASD. I use it only top speed races. (I normally use 3.07 LSD but top speed is under 300 kmh with it)

You said high speed racing.... What condition is it in? I want to drive it daily, a whining diff is nothing for me Smile

It's rebuilt with new bearings and seals, in good condition friction discs. Without any noise.
Top speed contests. Maybe 500 kms passed. Asd hydraulics removed. It's like original mb LSD diff.
Asd and lsd diffs are internally same anyway.

2.87 asd isnt that rare. S124 diesels should use them. 2.65 is rare in w124/201 diff.

Hmm. PM me a price please. Can it be converted back to ASD (ASD housing)? 2,87 was only used in 300D (OM603 n/a) with automatic trans and E300 (OM606 n/a) with auto trans and I think 250TDT w. automatic trans.

I have 3(!) 2.65 124 ASD diffs, but can't find a single 2,87 124 ASD diff...

Converting back to ASD is simple. 2 ASD flanges and drive shafts with bearings. I never use ASD hydraulics. Spring block works perfectly.

I`m interested in 2.65 ASD diff . I have 2.87, 3.07, 3.27, 3.46 and 3.92 LSD diffs but not 2.65.

W124 big differential(same size as W126 V8 diff) with 2.65 are common around here but it`s not bolt-on to W201 and I don`t really want to custom fit big differential.

I thought about converting W126 diff to W201 cause I have lot of LSD diffs with different ratios for W126 (2.24, 2.42, 2.65 and 2.87). Don`t need faster differ than 2.87 because my 5-th gear ratio is 1:1.

2.24 LSD (W126 500 diff) would be great for top speed.
