I purchased today a 82 puegeot turbo diesel engine! XD2S- 2.3l, 79 hp, 136 ft/lbs. only 100$ and still has the good engine tag from the pull yard, and is still on shipping skid. woo-hoo! this is gonna go in a datsun 720, 4wd of course. can finally stop towing shit around with the GF tdi lol.

I had one of them years ago in a Ford but it didn't have a turbo. You didn't get the turbo here unless you had the 2.5 version.

thats cool! not a bad deal. i put one of those in my 86 suzuki samurai. great motor with lots of power potential. uses the same injection pump as a 4bt cummins and has a t4 flange turbo! mine is overheating now though with a sheared water pump bolt in the head.

i'll tell you what, ill give you $200 for it! you just doubled your money! haha

haha. I also found out the 5-speed used in the 505's(were this motor came from) is a 10/5 and they used them in wrangler's so im thinking i can get a doubler too Smile.

I'd love to get some more power, but im just going basic's, intercooler and a little fuel. i think the om616 has more power potential. i guess these do make their torque 400 rpms lower, good for a truck Smile.
