Hi there to all some help please .
I am currently doing a project installing a om606 into a boat I have sent my injector pump to dieselmeken so while it is away I want to work on setting up my stock turbocharger Goran over at dieselmeken recommended 7.5 mm element and I am planning to use my stock turbo . So the question is this what is the best waste gate actuator to install on a stock turbo any help would be greatly appreciated

In my upion if you have in mind to even bothyer with the original turbo you should tke mout a sledge hammer and let it speakso you no longer think aboutr theold one, they do not take muck before they go balistic... but this is my personal feeling about the oroginal turbo so please do not take it personal, what are your power goals?

go to a junkyard and start digging. try to get something off a cummins truck, a saab 9-5 (preferrably aero) or a 3.0t audi.

Are you bolting or adapting this to the original manifold?

Saab 9-5 is a t25 and even the Aero is way small.. Saab guys are impressed with the 19C if that tells you anything. And Audi 3.0T  Huh

This has been covered a few times, theres not to much that bolts to the 606/605 manifold as its a 3 bolt KKK design. Probably need to make an adapter if you want to keep the factory manifold. Alternatively you could send the factory turbo out to Boostlab or someone and have the exhaust wheel clipped and they could possibly custom up a bigger compressor. But that's all going to cost $$

I vote the adapter route and a HE351cw or HX35.

I used a h1c on my 602 and it was more then enough for that engine. Unless your going for broke i think the h1c would be just fine. There are many versions of the turbo however. I have a big h1c ill donate to you if you pay to ship it ...... Smile

The big H1C uses the same comp housing and comp wheel as a HX35 so perhaps 300is? You'll need and external gate as well.

Probably same turbine but different size compressor wheels. The HX35 has at least 4 different compressor wheels but all have the same turbine.
