I went with Alibaba and bought some $5 ea. Chinese knockoffs. 10 were ordered in case some didn't work out. The "Bosch" packaging is interesting. Says "Made in France" everywhere: on the box, on the little plastic tubes they put them in, and laser etched on the nozzles themselves.

They're not going to work out. The diameter of the needle is larger than stock. This gives the hydraulic pressure more mechanical advantage over the spring, resulting in very low pop pressure. The fake nozzles were popping at 1100-1300 psi. Not worth the trouble to try to shim them to the correct pressure.

That's pricey for the Chinese knock-offs. They run around $1 buck a pop, but even at $5 bucks a pop they're not so hot, regardless of size ... The "240/s" were worth around .24 cents ... lol.

I could have gotten them cheaper, but not in the quantity that I wanted. They're probably copies of the 315 nozzle.

Greazzer, do you know if the needle in the 4 valve nozzles are narrower than the 2 valve nozzles? The spring is smaller in diameter and probably has a lower rate in the 4v injector, so I'm just supposing that a narrow nozzle would be a convenient way to deal with less spring force.

I know pintles are either 5mm or 6mm from memory. I need to double check. But yes to answer your question in that the pintles are different sizes. Most of the MB nozzle lineup is 6mm.
