I have been told I need to use a OM603 flywheel to bolt to an OM606 which I believe takes a 228mm clutch plate.

I'm struggling to get the correct clutch plate splines in 228mm for my application, most manufacturers seem to do either 215mm or 240mm.

So my question is if I wanted to use a 240mm clutch behind an OM606 what flywheel and clutch combination do I need please?

This I think is the flywheel I have been told to buy which I think is from an OM603 so can I get this as a 240mm version?

Might be worth looking into a 300E flywheel i think those are 240mm but i'm not sure.

Looks like a single mass FW made for a dual mass gearbox (short input shaft).

Machine it for a 240mm clutch. Might get clearance problem with a 765PP though Sad

Otherwise om605 have a 240mm clutch (dual mass FW).

240mm DMF i have used come from om605 turbo and m111 kompressor.

Don't limit your clutch disc options to MB applications only.
GM 26 spline *should* fit.
I know the Ford 10 spline fits Getrag 265 input shaft.
Maybe if you go back to the drawing board you'll come away with a dead cheap setup that'll hold as much torque as a high dollar ones.

Don't limit your clutch disc options to MB applications only.
GM 26 spline *should* fit.
I know the Ford 10 spline fits Getrag 265 input shaft.
Maybe if you go back to the drawing board you'll come away with a dead cheap setup that'll hold as much torque as a high dollar ones.

i have one laying around just the same.
i´ve read in here about the sachs 765PP. i´m having a clutch issue, i bought a new press plate and disk 240mm, luk original MB fitting.
now is slidding.
i´m wondering if i have to upgrade, wich press plate and disk should i search for?

Maybe the picture is a bit misleading - This is a modified flywheel for my application which isn't an MB gearbox.

The starter ring is removed from the flywheel and then welded to a plate, then there is an adapter between the plate and the flywheel, longer bolts are then used to attach it to the OM606.

This flywheel is for a 228mm clutch so are you saying that I can machine this one to take a 240mm clutch and pressure plate? And will everything still line up?
