Hello,

I am new to this forum but i have been active car builder for long time. At the moment i am looking for a new turbo(s) for my 3.2cdi om613. I have a pair of brand new gt2052v turbos, but i am not sure if i get any benefit when mounting those.
First of all, my powergoal is around 360hp, the original gt2359v is clearly too small and maybe good for max 280hp and max around 1.7-1.8bar of boost. Those 2 turbos i have could flow around 380hp of air with 1:16 lambda but i am not sure about pressure ratio. As i have checked maps, gt2052v doesent like more than 1.5 bar, so in twin application i would not get more air into the engine then with original turbo, correct? They would work only with bigger displacement?
Only benefit would be lower iat? Or i still can use lets say 2bar of boost with those turbos because i am not overspinning them, but then i would be out of compressor map?

Maybe someone can clear this up for me

regards,

Allar

Hi, i know some guys who can modify your stock turbo for @400 hp, also modify your injectors +30% Wink U should however know that u are also limited by fuel pump, gearbox and exhaust manifold(if u don't wanna sky rocket EMP) . GTB2056vl(king of torque som call it), volvo upgraded there 2052 to 2056 2005(?) is a resonantly nice turbo and you can properly find it pretty good price on them as well, I think it was diesel to fast for you that make a Build like that with twin turbos, I have used them on a om606 before with happy result.

If you get problem with space for cp3 pump from a 400cdi, there is with out the pre pump but it need to build then 73mm if I am not misstaken

Raidaru
what injectors are you speaking about? C30amg at 1800bars rail presure or something else for 30%

Altz1 u've got PM with the contacts, I never worked with them just found them on inthernet and saw they do some great stuff. Turbo, I'm talking about the stock injectors, don't ask me the procedure to modify them cause I'm no injector specialist Big Grin

I have a pair of brand new gt2052v laying in garage at the moment, but im just thinking if i use max boost with them (1.5bar from their compressor map) would i get any benefit at all vs. stock turbo? Because if i want more air to fixed size cylinder, i need to add boost but those turbos are not comfortable with 2 bar?

Did you also ran twinturbo on om606?

I have feeling the 400cdi pump fits well because i have w220 chassis, with quite long nose. I managed to squeez 700x300x100 big intercooler there Big Grin

Does anybody know if this twinturbo om613 was ever finished that has topic in this forum?

Yes I run twin turbo on om606. but that was a long long time ago, if you look at www.turbobygarrett.com the the compressor map is not that impressive and convincing if you want to run 2bars of boost, by accident I have run 3,5 bars of boost on GTB2056vl, and it did hold, it could even make 1bars of boost on a volvo 2,5l diesel volvo 945, the response was indeed fast but back pressure was TO high

sorry I presumed you had the s/w210, and guess when you work lack of space just make you very frustrated

As I understud it right he never finished the engine in the text because one guy did ask some #"&%/&¤#&/ questions and really pissted him of

the treed

has some interesting parts, but some parts can be interpret like advertises Wink
