i have a om606 engine, and was looking to modify it...
is has a mechanical fuel pump with electronic controll, what is possible to do with this pumpe or is it easer to change to a pumpwith mechanical controll?
what do you guys recomend to do for a light tune up?
hope to see some advice? Big Grin

Electronic control is difficult to implement. You're better off finding a mechanical injector pump from an om603.
Install bigger elements. Larger turbo. Add an intercooler and suitably sized exhaust, and you will see a minimum of 300bhp.

Swap the turbo actuator for a pressure one (stock is vacuum controlled from ECU).

Thats all to have it running fully mechanical, your power will be limited by the factory elements in the pump until you swap them as per hooblah's comment.

Installed:

OM606/722.6, big IC, W220 brakes.
Planned:
DIY manifold, compound, 722.6 controller, built IP.
[i]Less rust..

light tune up, meaning? 210 hp with a remap if u want, or 250 hp with remap and better turbo, like holset hx27 or he221w . More than this and u must go for the $$ way Big Grin
