im going to put the engine and gearbox togeather and was wondering if its best to buy a new standard pp and disk?

or is it any stronger pp that fits the c250turbo flywheel?

Its a 240mm clutch disk from c250Turbo its looks ok and is 9mm now.

is it a waste of money to buy an new clutch kit just to be sure?

and is an old pp weaker that a new one?

I measured my last disc thickness at 9mm new. This was a 26 spline hub disc.

Yea stock is 9,2mm so your clutch is more or less new.

HERE you have a Sachs Performance Clutch that is 30% stronger than stock. BoltOn Cool

For a 100% BoltOn original Sachs Performance clutch I don't think it's that expensive Tongue

It is the only thing that really bolts on. How ever you could email them and ask if they can put a sinter clutch in the package instead of the "organic" (it is actually not a standard organic it's a bit tougher).

Sachs sinter clutches are also 9.2mm so you will have no problem with low PP pressure. After market sinter clutches are 8mm and creates quite some problem if unaware.
