We have recently bought 2 thermo-forming machines for our fab shop. I have found it to be troublesome to find a gauge pod for the 300d. I'm trying to figure on if enough people would want this to justify making the molds. Also looking for ideas on how they should look, and where people would want them located on the car. Please post pics of ideas. Thank you.

gauge pods are hard to fit in W123. i think the only good place may be the switch panel (switches can potentially be relocated into the glovebox).

english red rat rod 1977 240D, OM617.952 burning B99.9, iron 4-speed & 2.88 diff, 195/60/R14 on alloys, 5mph bumpers, battery in the trunk, 25mm swaybar, 4x ECE H4 lamps, double brake lamps, deleted sunroof, export zoll & california blue plates

A formed pod that would mount on the dash above the center vents would work well on W123, 124 and 201.

I'd be interested in a dual gauge pod located on the left speaker hole, possibly recessed a bit. I would then relocate my speakers most likely to the side kick panels.

Btw - this is for a w123

I also was thinking about on the roof in the middle like in alot of truck running around this area. But i really like the speaker drive side idea. we should have the machine up and rolling in a few weeks, going to Indiana tomorrow to get the last one. Will keep posted on trial runs and stuff. thank you for the input.

I have my extra gauges mounted to the steering column, a nicer pod for there might be nice

-1982 300D Turbo, 280k miles, ALDA apparently maxxed, fram 8038, 12 lbs boost, non-egr manifolds, W/M injection, 4 brake light mod, Gen II w126 front rotors/calipers, 4-speed swap
In the works: A/W IC, adjust pump, turbo rebuild (w/60 trim comp wheel)
-1980 300SD, 110k, project car. Goal is to get it lookin' like it did on the showroom floor (body and interior wise, not necessarily under the hood )
-1974 240D, FRESH PAINT!!!!!!

yes that's what i want. It'd be cool if the guages were tilted towards the driver though. i never trust a guage i cant see straight on.
