Late 80s body, early 80s nissan SD-22 diesel swap. Never before have I seen such a great concept with excellent parts so poorly executed.

The engine is straight in there. The conversion was otherwise completely hacked. The engine actually needed to come out and be rebuilt and the motor mounts more accurately welded. The wiring was also a major problem.

Beautiful little truck though, once its redone right, probably be great.

Pretty heavy duty little engine right? Almost the same design concept as the mercedes engines, but with everything on the opposite side.

yeah, both cast iron block/head and roughly the same dimensions... If I didnt already have a BUILT motor in my XJ, I would totally swap it out for a 617, just so it could burn oil as well.
