Hi guys. Some of you know and some don't. We have been building a pretty hairy BMW 316i Compact for a while.

The car is a e36 BMW but with a full front, lights and hood from a M-style e46.

Engine wise it has a om605 with tougher valve springs, n/a cams and a Dieselmeken 8mm 242cc IP.

ZF BMW 325tds gearbox (the third because we actually trashed two in 200m and 5min of driving), single mass flywheel, Sachs 765 PP and a 6-point sinter clutch.

BMW 5-series differential with a stock LSD.

Turbo is a ITS ballbearing turbo witch is to small and the ASS-dyno says around 500whp. No need for a propper dyno untill the turbo is replaced and we can do some serious power.

I will post pictures in a moment!!!

This car wasn't supposed to have a project thread here and the only reason I'm posting this is shown in the pictures below.

Yesterday our fabricator ran off the road in the car, broke seven ribs and a collarbone. He's fine but got a good punch. The car on the other hand don't ever need a project thread Sad

So guys, drive safe!!! Accidents do happen.

Thanks guys! The engine is fine and the driver will be ok. He's a leftie so having a hard time right now with all his injuries on the left side. The intern was in the car with him but got no injuries what so ever and back in the shop today (I gave him a day off Wink )

The engine and trans will go in to a 1972 BMW e3 3.0s Big Grin will be an awesome sleeper.

Crazy crash!

Now we all know about this car you should just follow on the thread of removing all nasty parts and the rebuild into the new car :-)

Best of luck and hope for a speedy recovery!

Thanks guys. The w202 is actually making progress so who knows, there might be a first start up soon Wink

The quad had to work hard today moving the trashed BMW. But now the shop lookes ok again.

Mr Fabricator is home and doing as fine as possible with a lot of broken ribs. Bad thing is that we can't make any manifolds in a while and that's our main business Sad

The accident was on the public road but no other car was involved or even close. Even I thought it was a stupid misstake but the differential might actually be damaged, will check in to that.
