I decided I'm probably going to use a VGT instead so it's time for this HX35 to find a new home. Came off of a dodge ram and was being replaced by a larger turbo. I was going to rebuild it before I used it just for piece of mind, and so I know it'll be good to go for a long time.

Sounds as if you did not, but just to be certain, did you have it rebuilt? Where did you take it? How much axial/radial play? Mind posting a pic of the compressor wheel from dead ahead? Also, where in CA?

You are correct, I did not rebuild it. If I did, I would have mentioned that specifically in the original post - And I would be asking for more $$
