Hello guys,

Anyone know what would be the best manual gearbox to fit to an OM613 while maintaining the speedo sensor for an W124 and strong enough to hold aprox 700-800Nm?

I searched for manual gear boxes but there are many models and don't know all of them, so don't know the differences.
I found the model 716.649

http://www.ebay.de/itm/Mercedes-Benz-W21...257bb1f746

On the list it says that will fit many cars, W210, W203, W209...

Also the W211 with OM648 had any manual gearbox? I think yes but can't find any, not even the gearbox model!

Thanks for any help

I don't konw if its helpful but I can tell you for sure that 716.605 fits the OM606. There's 1 bell-housing bolt which doesn't line up, and the whole gearbox is rotated slightly in line with the angle the pistons travel up & down at. I got mine out of a 2003 C200 Kompressor. There's no speedo sensor on it. I guess speed signal came from the ABS system.

There's an Austrian guy "Hansebanger" who has a 716.654 and 730Nm.

1992 W201 190D 2.0L and 1971 W108 280SE with OM606, electronic pump and 6 speed manual gearbox.
