Selling my VNT off of my old green 85. Comes with

-Adaptor to T3 manifold with hardware
-Dual actuator setup (pressure and vacuum actuators)
-3" downpipe with Vband adaptor (custom made)

To make this work/function all you need to do is Tee into the transmission vacuum valve off the IP to the auto transmission. This valve gives vacuum at idle and low throttle imput, and the vacuum decreases as you press the pedal. So on the turbo, at idle and low throttle the vacuum actuator holds the vanes part way open to relieve backpressure. As you press the pedal, the vacuum decreases, closing the vanes, causing the turbo to build boost, which enters the pressure actuator, opening the vanes to regulate boost.

The most I got out of this turbo was 15-18 psi. Backpressure was about 20-25 psi.

This turbo needs a rebuild. Side to side and in and out shaft play. Granted it will still function, I drove with this turbo for 2 years. You can find a BAE center section on ebay for around 170 bucks IIRC.

You will need to find a better way to do the oil drain. This one leaks a bit.

You can see my process and adventures with this turbo is my old build thread here:

Asking $300 OBO for everything. A fair amount of work was put into this to make it happen.

In retrospect my price was a bit high. Any reasonable offer will be entertained. Also included is the exhaust manifold with the T3 studs removed. Everything bolts right up.
