so warning, this below forum may be incredibly dangerous to your productivity as an accessory to your car addiction issues.

I have probably spent a full week looking at the "garage gallery" forum at the above link. Awesome place for ideas on how to set up your workshop of fix up a building.

ThreePointedStar.

I think that the GJ could serve as a model of proper forum moderation. The members are generally very helpful and respectful. Most everybody seems to have a good understanding of etiquette when expressing an opinion or offering a suggestion. The PP community could learn a thing or two IMO.

Cool!

Definitely a pretty cool forum, I love the mix of money is no object garage builds to a guy fixing up a 12x12 hut to build bicycles on a budget. On one hand your jaw is about to fall off, and on the other you see someone doing something that you can also do, very inspiring.

I see thedon is also over there as well. Im the same screen name.

Been fascinated because the place I just bought has 3 garage type buildings on it that are all falling apart, but the possibilities are intoxicating. Benz madness eventually for me. I just have to do about 3 full years or repair and rebuild to the structures.

lots of inspiration there. Just what i need in order to redo my garage.

I also have a stupid support beam right in the middle that actually makes parking in the garage difficult because you cant avoid hitting the door on the thing.
I wonder If I can remove it.

i have the same problem with my garage that will eventually be my work shop. i have a crackpot scheme that im going to get up there and modify the rafters into bastardized trusses with plywood gussets, so i can knock out the poles. the idea seems workable, but we will see
