Hello, i have a w202 with a om605 and manual 5 speed, its a very slow revving engine and idealy i want something that revs up and down quicker, so i am looking at a single mass flywheel

Have searched around but cant make alot of sense, i know om602 flywheels fit onto the om605 flywheel, but what im not sure about is sensors for the electronic pump on the om605, as i will still be running the same pump for a while until funds say i can do otherwise

Also gearboxes, do the 6 speed boxes from w203's fit onto these engines, not to worried about ratios as i can change diff's to get the ratio i need, problem i have atm is i am running a low ratio diff and its revving quiet high for daily driving, would be nice to have 6th to help keep the rev's down when driving to work, but still have lower ratios for drifting

Cheers

W203 c270cdi six speed box fits & it's believed to be one of the strongest boxes to run for big power so I've read

Ricky the best thing would be to compare what the difference is between the flywheels. Do you have a pic of the 605 flywheel?

Most flywheels fit. But slow revving is because you have the stock IP. With a superpump you'll have the throttle response of a motorcycle.

going to bump an old thread instead of starting a new one here

had the car out for the first time today, clutch is completely gone, so looking at a flywheel and clutch

before i go buying a flywheel i wanted to make sure, does a sprinter solid mass flywheel fit? and i asume it has to be a sprinter with a om605 for the flywheel to work if it does fit

in abit of a panic for one as its out again in 2 weeks time

There are no sprinters with 605 Smile But any straight engine FW will fit. If you want it to hold some power you are way off though.

Big Grin

With a remap, the engine will also rev a lot faster. A lower exhaust pressure will also make a really big difference, so the stock turbo is the bottleneck here.

I have the Sprinter Solid dualmass and a 6-speed gearbox from w203 in my 190. I had to machine 10mm in the front of it for clearance and 15mm in the rear to fitt the Sachs 707 on it. Dont bother with the 765.
