om605 flywheel and gearbox options
om605 flywheel and gearbox options
Have searched around but cant make alot of sense, i know om602 flywheels fit onto the om605 flywheel, but what im not sure about is sensors for the electronic pump on the om605, as i will still be running the same pump for a while until funds say i can do otherwise
Also gearboxes, do the 6 speed boxes from w203's fit onto these engines, not to worried about ratios as i can change diff's to get the ratio i need, problem i have atm is i am running a low ratio diff and its revving quiet high for daily driving, would be nice to have 6th to help keep the rev's down when driving to work, but still have lower ratios for drifting

Hello, i have a w202 with a om605 and manual 5 speed, its a very slow revving engine and idealy i want something that revs up and down quicker, so i am looking at a single mass flywheel

Most flywheels fit. But slow revving is because you have the stock IP. With a superpump you'll have the throttle response of a motorcycle.

before i go buying a flywheel i wanted to make sure, does a sprinter solid mass flywheel fit? and i asume it has to be a sprinter with a om605 for the flywheel to work if it does fit

But any straight engine FW will fit. If you want it to hold some power you are way off though.

With a remap, the engine will also rev a lot faster. A lower exhaust pressure will also make a really big difference, so the stock turbo is the bottleneck here.

I have the Sprinter Solid dualmass and a 6-speed gearbox from w203 in my 190. I had to machine 10mm in the front of it for clearance and 15mm in the rear to fitt the Sachs 707 on it. Dont bother with the 765.

Hi what is this Sachs 707 you speak of ? I know the 765 is the BMW m5 clutch thanks
