I've got a pair of the ones propigskin is/was selling, that i never ended up using on the wagon i had at the time (fixed the sls instead, it was neat).

so will those springs fit on the rear of my 240D or is it just the wrong diameter altogether? these things are tall as hell, could be cool if i get around to installing them and find something equally tall for the front.

If you buy front and rear springs for a 300d, your 240 will look like it has 4 wheel drive. The 300d application springs are a bit taller. The propig springs are the same diameter, so will fit the 240, but they can be noisy with the cut off coil. Wod be interesting to see what they do for a 240.

sorry took me so long to reply!

I have a few other pics-

Im running 300D springs in both the front and rear.
here are the 240 and 300 springs compared-(front). I thought at first that the different heights were because the 240 springs have 370k on them, but have since learned that there is a different spec height between the two models evidently-

and rear-

from the side comparison, Original before one of the springs snapped on me-

new 300D springs in the front, 370k 240s in the rear-

and all new 300D-

as you can see, I originally only had a broken front spring, but I ended up having to replace all 4 because it got a little ridiculous looking. Revitalized the car, rides entirely different now. Was a great improvement

I have a pair of the SLS delete rear springs from propigskin. Actually, I got them from JB3 about 2 -3 years ago. I just found them in my garage and I took measurements last night. They are 18mm versus 16mm (15.9 for 240D). They are not 371 mm long. They are around 1/4" shorter. They are going into my car within the next few weeks, once I find a reasonably priced or rented spring compressor. I will report how they work out ASAP.

Get ready for some twanging! I put another set of those in the wifes car, they take a heck of a long time to settle out. She still gets an occasional dramatic twang every now and then when she hits a big speed bump or something. It has been a source of comment

Like a road runner and wile e coyote cartoon. A huge metallic "booooiiiiinnnnggg" noise when the sping moves a little because its cut off on the bottom like it is. Youll know it when you hear it. Big Grin

The twanging will go on for about a month intermittently, lots at first. And them occasional twangs on big bumps.

Mrs JB3 is happy im happy the sls on her wagon is gone, but i got a bad shock out of the box as part of my kit, and made the car noiser overall. Eventually, ill replace that, but i think overall for her its been a negative experience. The car does ride great now though, and is at a great ride height
