Hello Super Turbo people.
I'm contemplating swapping an OM606 into my 1988 300TE.

pulling the OM606 from a '98 e300D
pulling flywheel, clutch, linkages, shifter, pedal, and 5 speed from 190e 2.3-16.
using the m103 engine mounts with spacers.
either a custom PWM controller on 606 injection pump or a mechanical 603 pump
custom exhaust, intercooler piping, driveshaft.
after I have something driveable, I'll add Compressed natural Gas injection/fumigation for added power.

I have the three donor cars. But I'm asking before I start for anyone smarter than myself to point out what I'm missing.
Also, how much torque can I expect the Cosworth clutch to handle? expected power from stock turbo? manifold? Anyone have any experience with using CNG for added power?

I understand that the impingement ball in the precombustion chamber can heat beyond the flash point of propane, limiting the amount of propane you can safely inject to a small to meaningless amount. CNG would have to have a significantly higher octane rating than propane to avoid this.

I was thinking about doing this swap in my 124 300d and asked about it like you. I was told I had to swap the 603 oil filter housing to the 606. You might want to do some searching on that.

Check on 190rev.net about the gearbox. I think there's some 600hp cars running around with this gearbox. They're all probably high-revving gassers in cars 300+ pounds lighter than a 124 wagon with a 606. EDIT: you asked about the clutch. It might hold up to a stock 606. It's barely enough for a stock 603.

Methane is a much higher Octane. I'm choosing that over bigger IP elements as I already have the infrastructure and it costs me about $1.20/ gallon.
I beleive it's something around 130 octane to propane being 110.
