Depends on what application and what the goals are
HE221W has better transient response as the rotating assembly is much lighter, it flows up to 37.8lbs/min and has a very good surge margin but compressor efficiency is low.
HX30W has much better compressor efficiency but is a lot more mass to spool.
On a 1.6-2.0 liter engine, I would go HE221W
2.5 and bigger, HX30W, 40, 42, 44 or 46mm (Super) inducer versions depending on how much hp is needed.
If ultra fast spool and response is what one is after and 25-30lbs/min is enough air, HE211W 5cm is a winner!
