Ok guys, due to a lot of questions about manifolds, both intake and exhaust I'm willing to share our 605-build.

As you can see the manifold is ready as far as welding and fabrication. Now we gonna blaster it and paint it so it gets a nice even surface.

And yea, the cones are all the way through. The cones are cnc-machined!

Even inside the manifold there are some bits and tricks, but some of that is secret so I have no good photos of the fabrication Cool

I like the cone baffles! Nice work! Did you source them from another application or are they custom made?

Very impressive!

Can I ask is that a NA 606 manifold with one runner cut off? I thought no 605 manifolds were aluminium? (I want one)

Regards, H.

Installed:

OM606/722.6, big IC, W220 brakes.
Planned:
DIY manifold, compound, 722.6 controller, built IP.
[i]Less rust..

It's from a om606 right, turbo or not I do not remember. But yea, just a runner cut off. Just send me a message and I'll hook you up with one Cool

I've never seen anything like that before, what do the cone baffles do?

I've an OM605 which I plan to use a air to water intercooler on & was planning that the intercooler be welded to the runners to form the plenum but looking at that I might mount the cooler indendent of the manifold & run a plenum instead.

Strange looking manifoldDodgy To make those cones and put them there is a lot of work so I guess you have a good reason to do that and I guess you have a flow bench and have come up with that solution after a lot of testing? Maybe you have some more info you would like to share with usSmile

The cone baffles are there to make the plenum stiff. Usually you just use pipes, but this looks better. So it's more or less a design feature.

3.5bars (51psi) to start with Cool Aiming for 700hp in this one. But we'll have a twisting road ahead...

We have a Dieselmeken Crazy Jim Edition IP 242cc 7250rpm limiter. But we're planing of four to five big upgrades before we reach maximum power with good durability.
