Does anybody know how many degrees of rotation are built into the 3 timing slots on the injection pump?

Mine is advanced full retard by the previous owner. It seems to run fine without any nailing and plenty of power. Just curious how many degrees of movement I have before I start messing with it. At first I thought the timing chain might be stretched hence the pump being fully advanced but its not. There is zero degrees of stretch between the crank and cam at 194k miles.

thanks

I think not more than about 6 degree the whole adjustment range. On the 603 turbo I run olways with no loud nailing sound so more like 17°than the original 15.

So 6 degrees on the IP means 12 crank degrees at the crank?

No I mean on the crank where you see the numbers. I'm not sure about the exact degree but I know the is not much degree adjustment from rotate the pump. I always want the pump as good as can in the middle of the adjustment range. I often re mount the pump to be there :-)
