the 716.xxx cdi 6 speed gearboxes use a dual mass flywheel
so the have a shorter spline axle as a 717.xxx single mass flywheel

will a 717.xxx spline axle fit in a 716.xxx gearbox ?

the the single mass flywheel can be used is it ?

They don't all use Dual mass flywheels, there are single mass fly wheels available for the 6 speed gearboxes, eg from a 220 cdi.
