I couldn't access the link so cant see the advert but remember this trannie has it's own dedicated shifter. A standard merc box shifter wont work.

I know its sold but;
Is this MB 16v dogleg the same as a BMW M3 dogleg?

The BMW dogleg transmission is a Getrag 265/5 (265/6 OD).

Just wondering...Huh

I think the dogleg in the 16v merc is from the cosworth 190 IIRC..
My friend HughF on this forum fitted one to his OM606 compound powered 190..

Installed:

OM606/722.6, big IC, W220 brakes.
Planned:
DIY manifold, compound, 722.6 controller, built IP.
[i]Less rust..

^ Yup! I've got one behind a 606.962. Bolts straight on.
As I said above it needs it's own matching turret. The levers work differently from the standard 5speed turret.

Does the Cosworth 190 dogleg 5-speed have a removable bellhousing or is it a 1-piece case?

Yep, same thing, but with a different engine bolt pattern. Good stuff if you don't mind a 1:1 top gear.

I got one in my 190 cosworth, it sure helps that little car fly. If something happens to the 16v motor, I'm going to drop a 602 under the hood and have some torquey fun
