Ever Seen This? Broken Pre Chamber...

I got sad though when I pulled #5 chamber and saw it was broken...
Has anyone ever seen this?
Guess I'm back to pulling my current chambers and reaming them, But looks like a lot more reaming is to be done to the up rated chambers anyway!
1982 300D Turbo ... 3,6xxlbs, No fan, No AC, Hood Stack, No ALDA, No rear bumper and stuffed front, A/W Intercooled, Injectors by Greezer and HUGE Pre-Chambers with help from OM616 & Simpler=Better, Fuel Cranked up, 60 Trim Compressor wheel, EGT, EMP, Boost 50" Rigid Radius bar on roof Aux tank for a total of 48 Gal Of Diesel! Odyssey PC-1750 Battery in trunk, 27"x8.5"/R14 Maxxis BigHorn Mud Terrains, In June '14 issue of Off Road Mag

09-23-2013, 12:54 AM #1In light of the Prechamber Mod "Flame" Front thread, http://www.superturbodiesel.com/std/thread-2169.html , I finally gathered the tools and pulled all the pre-chambers out of the 1985 head that I have. All came out easily and I had removed the glow plugs just prior. I was super stoked to see that the '85 had the "Up rated" prechambers with the larger "k" and "L" holes
I got sad though when I pulled #5 chamber and saw it was broken...

In worse cases the "swirl pin" (don't know the proper english term) cracks open the pre-chamber and creates serious damage to the engine...

12-21-2013, 09:47 AM #6I've seen it, it killed 2 cyl on an engine I had. The turbo was junk also, engine still ran fine...

Tips break off and the injection repeeatedly slams the tip against the end of the chmaber ateast 10x per second
