I mentioned in another thread that I had a 2.3-16, so I thought that I would share it. For now the plan is to bring it back to it's glory. It was very rough when I first got it, the only thing good about it really was the motor was strong and the body was straight.

Replaced headlights with euros

Replaced cracked ass dash and cruddy steering wheel with a donor from a 1990 190 2.6

Repaired rat chewed wires (still don't know what system this was from originally)

Repaired SLS system

fabricated a cup holder

Replaced leaking vacuum lines (too many were replaced, no photos)

Replaced fuse box. From same 1990 model I pulled dash from.

G*d I don't remember what all else I've done to this thing, but it's been a lot. I drive it daily now for my job search. Still to do is to replace the vacuum seals around the injectors, #2 is leaking pretty bad and the idle surges +\- 300 rpms, probably from when I replaced the injectors to fix hesitation.

If s*it were to hit the fan on this project, and I were in need of a new motor, then I'd highly consider dropping in a 602 and mate it to my 5spd getrag.
