had my oil changed on friday and on monday, as i was driving on the freeway, there starts a clapping sound that starts coming from the engine. i pull off the road and found all the oil had somehow leaked out of the car. (i dont know if the oil change guy didnt apply the correct o-ring or maybe took off the oil pan w/o replacing the gasket?? needless to say, im pissed. wtf)

so, i filled 7 quarts into the engine but that damn clapping sound wont go away.

any ideas?

(its a clapping or clacking sound that is in unison with the acceleration)

much thanks for any help.

Not good. Time to file an insurance claim with the oil change place asap. At the least, its going to need new bearings.

Nothing kills an MB diesel faster than running out of oil.
