Motor ran excellent, up until it threw a rod! So I'm sellin off parts of the engine. Tell me if my prices are fair or if I'm out of my mind! Engine has 275k on it.

Complete head -$300

Intake/exhaust manifolds, $30 each or $50 for both

Injection pump, $300

Injectors $40 for all 4

Injector hard lines $40 for all 4

And any other engine parts I may have missed.

Only selling off the motor! Keeping everything else for my om617 swap

All parts located in Sonora, ca, about 2.5 hrs east of SAn Francisco. Willing to ship and willing to trade for om617 parts, turbos, supercharges, aftermarket wheels and tires for the 240d, interior parts for the 240d, my dash is cracked and my center console near the shifter boot is jacked

I'd be interested in the advance mechanism assembly.

I'd look up junkyard cost on that injection pump. I know I can get them for 30$ at my yard.

I've seen pumps going for around $150-$200 in "ran when removed" condition. Eb*y can usually fetch a higher price though

what is that?

It is the big gear thing behind the vacuum pump that the IP plugs into. There are springs and weights inside it, and it advances the timing as engine speed increases.

If no one else wants the vac pump I'll take it to cut up & make a blockoff plate

Yeah I should have gone further. I wouldn't expect to pay 30$ to someone who has done the work and it is known that the pump is good. That would get some more money. There an IP being sold on the local Craig and the guy want 450$ but makes no reference to it be pulled from a running motor. Also selling an old turbo high miles not rebuilt for something similar. Maybe someone will get desperate.

Someone would probably pay 300$ but you might have to wait awhile for that someone. In all actuality what a pump might cost from a mechanic or from Mercedes it is probably a good deal.1
