So some years ago I used to work in the divisive VO industry before going into fleet service, and now im doing property/real estate type stuff.

Since I was doing conversion stuff back when, I maintained some contacts and have been storing a bunch of these plastic tanks for these guys as overstock (product page)-

http://www.snapgreentech.com/store/index...&Itemid=53

Recently ive been expanding my rental property activities and im looking to build a mezzanine in my space where i was previously storing overstock stuff for these guys and some other businesses. Essentially I need to make some space, and they have given me permission to sell just the plastic tanks unmodified on my own that I have sitting here, and not part of a kit with heat exchanger and bracketry or whatnot.

Ive got about 20 of the big 18 gal ones kicking around, there might be 2 or 3 of the small ones left over from a previous storage shipment. These things are pretty awesome, they've been product tested according to VMSS specs, if you would like more info on the specs they tested them by, please visit the above link.

The ones I have are not yet prepared to fit a heat exchanger, so you would be getting the tank, a pair of caps, and a roll over fuel vent. (you will have to cut the port for the vent in the raised boss) Mounting and fuel pickup would be up to you, and you can use this as a big aux tank, do VO stuff, whatever you want. All I have to do is number them for federal standards and pass that info back on to the manufacturer for records.

some pics of the things. I got into storing some when I originally bought one for my old 240 and they needed overstock space (and I knew the guy). I have 3 of them for personal cars, one used for VO, the other two are just aux fuel tanks. dimensions I took from their website- 35.5” L x 12”W x 13.75”H

PM if you'd like a different pic, or if you are interested in purchasing one. Shipping I can quote for you, they are pretty light. Based on location, shipping might be included if its under 20 bucks or so for me.

ok, ive been crawling around on shelves mapping out my second floor pans and I finally took an accurate count, I still have THIRTY of these things left. Tongue There are also 2 of the 12 gallon versions left.

The manufacturer has informed me that each one of these things costs 98 bucks to produce, and once all assembled is a 700 dollar product, so they are breaking even, and im not making any money off selling them, just clearing room.

I have posted a how to install thread over on PP for anyone who has bought one to post their ideas and solutions to the various problems

Only if you drop a diesel in it. Big Grin

This reminds me of what I was specifically told to say and forgot. These tanks are only rated for diesel, biodiesel, and vo. They are not compliant with gasoline, and should not be used in gasoline applications. My understanding is that this has to do with the plastics process related to gasoline vapor and emissions compliance. Plastic gasoline tanks are multi layer material, and these are single layer meeting a different less stringent spec for diesel tanks

so some more pics.

here are the two types-

this is the stock of them I need to move to make space-

25 of the large ones are totally unfinished ive counted, the top looks like this. You either have to cut out the top, or drill a hole to put in a fuel pickup. I think they have some manufacturing debris in them though, so its probably worth cutting out the top and making a plate-

I also have 4 small ones in total, including one interesting white one that appears to be an oddball. these are 90 bucks. The manufacturing process is identical, so the construction price is apparently nearly identical.

close ups of the small ones, which I believe are 12 gallon capacity-

The current stock left is
-Twenty five 18 gallon tanks with the top not cut out
-one 18 gallon tank with the top cut out
-four 12 gallon tanks with the tops cut out, (one white)

Why must you hate on my volatile fuel?

Those things are beautiful, I need to see if I can hang them under the chassis. This would be 100x easier than messing with an adapted stock tank.

still have a bunch, pile is shrinking, but very slowly. If anyone has parts they'd like to trade, id be interested.

Currently im looking for a pair of used, but not dry cracked rear axles if anyone has them. Id trade a tank for a junkyard pair from the no corrosion states. Ill also take care of shipping.
