Thats REALLY good to know, I've seen plenty of later S classes that looked like they'd be close.
I can already tell you YMMV. I spent a good 2 hours a few weeks back fitting 140 brakes on a 124 at the junkyard. The distance between the mount hole to the spidle are the same but the bore was different, the offset was going to require washers and that was enough to have me stick to the 95 e320 brakes for now.
