I want to lunch myself in the face.

Standard 617 Garrett turbo (mounted) I cant get the retaining coil back in after adjustment. Who knows the magic trick?

After a temporary lapse of sanity I got it together. Luck? Probably the best bet. May the force be with you.

Lol android auto correct.

To finalize. I lost track of turns but thought I brought it up a lot....I went from 10ish to 12ish psi. I will have to do it all over again . Fuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!

That reassembly is so horrible. I would rather tell my wife she is fat to find out what happens.

Yarp. Except for my garret is now on the topside of a john deere so it's mad easy to adjust.

I was thinking about a manual boost controller but I've read so many conflicting opinions on them. Plus I had never adjusted a wastegate so I feel good having gotten that out of my system. I think I'll adjust one more time to bring it up but try a manual boost thingy too just so I can see what happens. I'm sure it will go quicker a second time or at least I hope. I really wish that had been engineered differently.

I had no problem with my home-made boost controller. Cheap enough to try, and if it doesn't work out then just remove it

I just used a valve laying around our shop. Like a little screw type shutoff valve. (Proper name slips my mind)
Close it ever so slight to raise boost, open it a little to lower. Kind of crude, but it works for now

I bought some parts for about 7$ today and made one. I've adjusted it 3 times and still boost over 20. Gonna have to cut the spring a little I think. I'm sold on it though.

Oh and I didn't mention this before but my egt's are way down again now that I got the boost up. After my recent turbo swap and boost drop (with a functional wastegate) my egt's were too easily at 1200. Fixed.

I know if I limit mine to 10-14 it would get toasty real quick in there. I run about 16-18, which I know is hard on the charger, but that's why my hx30 is coming along Wink
