So whats the thought on the electric lift pump for full fuel to 6000rpm? Im thinking a Bosch 044 pump would do the trick but thought i would run it by the community here as i know some of you have ditched the IP driven lift pump in favor of a electric one.

The BD lift pumps for Cummings are huge money so that's out of the question.

Bosch 044 flows some serious fuel but diesel is different then gas so

1-1,5bar thats all what needs for superpumps, you can give 3-5bar of fuel, but elements can stuck. more fuel with electric pump you can give for gasoline engine because you giving presure directly to injectors.

I'm running some WALBRO 3bar 255L/h work good but don't know if this is the best solution for 180cc+

180cc x 6000rpm x 6zyl = 6480000 ?

Just to clarify, are you saying that providing too much pressure can cause the elements to get stuck or stick?

depending on how much diesel it actually pumps, that should be more than enough. That is enough flow for upwards of 500HP in a gasoline engine.

I know that gas is significantly less viscous than diesel so flowrates may be vastly different, (I burned up several gasoline transfer pumps while pumping out the 400+ gallons of fuel out of my boat...a 6-71 Detroit powered "project") but I don't know what the difference actually equates to in a flowrate vs. HP comparison for diesel...

NO idea what the math is telling me as 140 x 6000 x 5cyl is 4200000... Tried to convert CC/min to lPM then to LPH lol, didn't make much sense. I think a 044 will be fine and i have one here from a 944T project so we'll give that a shot..

I've settled on the Bosch 044 as that should flow more then enough for this project.
