Like a Bosch VE?
Those things can throw some serious fuel, even in stock form.
Just fitted one to my 318 perkins within the past couple months.

It will be MB207 bus with sof turbo. Only with max 0.7 bar charge pressure. 10x2.3 pump. It is just to have bit greater torque, and to optimlizate the consumption. I would like to hold the consuption on the same lever, even if the engine is stronger.

I run that same pump on my 400 cubic inch Perkins pulling tractor. Pushes alot of fuel, more fuel than it can take without a turbo!

Are you only using the tips?
Or are the hole injector bodies the same?
What are the benefits?

I don't know how it's works in inline pump, but it's works on 150 bar. The quantity maybe you can change but the preinjection will be lower. (but it will not be god probably.

The VW injectors require very fast delivery times in order operate both stages, the VE pumps have 10/12mm elements that can deliver the fuel fast enough to reach the secondary pop pressures.

With the 5.5mm elements in the inline pumps only the primary stage is being used. With 10mm elements they may be useable, but with 5.5 or 6mm they are not a good match.

Hi,

If you would set OM601 injectors to own opening pressure it would work certainly, but not this is the solution!

You know, the spline adapter that fits inside the engine and drives the pump. Which one did you use, where did you source it? Trying to figure out what's involved in a VE pump conversion.

Did you have to change the drive sprocket (that is driven by the engine timing chain) because of the automatic advance?

Why did you need a spacer for the pump to the block? Was your spline adapter too long?

Devils in the details, if someone wants to replicate this. Maybe me, the 5,000rpm limit doesn't bother me in my wagon. Possibly a cheaper way to sub-300hp. 12mm head, 3.3mm cam plate, VW rabbit governer spring, big injectors, & boost. Could be a fun project.

Did you use the om602 sprinter spline adapter on the input shaft or do you have another source for them? That's the main hurdle to making this work state side is that rinky-dink spline adapter that they didn't sell here but they did in Europe. Almost willing to spend the $400 to get a whole pump for that little piece.
