Hello everyone,
My name is Cristian , I m from Romania and some time watching this forum with interest and appreciation for what you do. Now I build a car for offroad with OM 605 motor with mechanical injection pump from the OM 602. I found in Germany 7mm elements wich I want to mount in injection pump, an intercooler and a turbo Holset HX 35W. I want this engine to approx. 250 to 275 HP, but I think this turbine is too big for this power. I think that 100 -120 cc would be enough to injection pump.
If someone can help me with some advice I would be very grateful
Thank you very much and best regards

I'd also like to know which turbo is best for an OM605, Although I'm looking for 400hp+ or as much as standard internals can take.

I found a cheap HX50 VGT but I think this is maybe a bit too big.

I think the standard turbo to use is an HX35. Nothing is too big!
