Hi I have been reading all the posts on changing the 606 IP to the 603 IP and I have a few questions.
I am going to put 2 OM 606 962 turbo engines in my boat I do not want any electronics so I am looking at changing the 606 IP to the 603 IP but in the UK there are only 603 IP from non turbo cars.
How can I get the best power out of the 606 with the 603 non turbo pump. Will just adjusting the pump as described here in other articles do the job or will I have to modify the pump in another way.
I would like to get up to the 175 hp quoted it the tech spec for the 606 engine but would settle for less hp if just adjusting the pump will give say 150hp please give me some tips.
Unless someone else has a way of running the 606 IP with some stand alone electronics.
Thanks
Kevin

Best mechanical pump is the one from om606 non turbo engine, but the one from 603 engine works as well. I will do a project with om606 electronic ip next year, but my advice for you is to go mechanical Big Grin

You shouldn't have too much hassle finding a 603 turbo pump on ebay particularly ebay germany. There aren't any just now but my search is only 2 pages long where its normally way more. Guess its the holidays. If all fails you there are conversions that can be done to convert the pump. Look up dieselmeken and his posts for one such conversion. http://youtu.be/IB0EuSzn8JI for a video.
