How much is this thing worth?

I have all the knobs but I am may be missing some brackets.
I even have the original papers (not sure it thats all of them)
Before I pulled it from the car it was in working condtion, im not sure if the 8 track worked because I didnt have any 8 tracks to test it with.

yeah I know its old but it might be a collectors item to someone. I need the extra cash to help pay off a credit card debt that is getting out of control with interest and I figured I would sell some stuff on ebay/forums to help.

I'm just picking on you, google that shit!

You're a computer guy, fix people's computers. Most folks assume that they "wear out" and have to be replaced. Slap some ICD7 on the heatsink, clean out the cat hair, sit down with them and back up their stuff, then install a fresh copy of windows. Easy money, they will be amazed how oyu can bring em' back to life.

No need to reseat the heatsink, 9 times out of ten heat related issues are due to clogged heatsinks. I already do that but bussiness has been slow around these parts lately. I used to get two or three calls a week. $120 - $180 bucks a computer only takes me about two to three hours to back up and reload windows (thanks to having images of pre configured windows ) Also having the software to image a customers HDD to a new SSD wows them and the solid state pays for itself within seconds.

fugg it though. Ill just google this. Wanted someone else to do the work.

Have you messed with the Innovate Cooling Diamond (ICD) thermal compound? I ran back to back to back tests with the stock gummy pad, arctic silver 5, and ICD and found that the AS5 dropped temps by 5*, while the ICD dropped temps by 10*

Glad to hear you go out and do it. People are scared of computers like I am scared of the insides of an auto transmission :p

No I have never messed with it. I usually just stick to AS5 for high end builds becuase thats what I have always used and I just use the gummy pads for my low end users. We do the same at the Computer shop I work at.

what were your clocks at what voltages? or did you not overclock?

Stock clocks, I got it to drop another 5* when I undervolted it. That reminds me, I haven't undervolted since my last reformat.....I also swapped in a 75nm (65nm was stock on my laptop) to gain +200mhz and double the cache. Fan runs nonstop but damn it was like adding a turbo.

Personally, I'd say run AS5 or ICD on all builds-it's cheap enough to warrant the insurance. Noobs like to leave their laptops on the couch, etc.
