Well, folks, that deer I hit the other night is turning out to be very expensive, and my insurance company is not generous --to put it mildly.

That repair bill, combined with a recent reduction in my work hours to not-very-many...plus a series of financial disasters affecting family members who have turned to me for help...forces me to part with some swag. Maybe.

I am not inviting lowballers. But think of this as your chance to place (via PM) what you think would be a winning eBay bid, a week or two before I actually put these items up on eBay (or local Craigslist).

W115 300D intake manifolds: I have 3 of them.

Naturally-aspirated W123 300D intake manifolds...got two.

1979 300SD exhaust manifold (no EGR): got one.

300TD wagon front sway bars: got two. One is in excellent condition (I bought it last year from mike-81-240d), the other has "black rust" though is probably roadworthy. The good one (mike's) comes complete with all the rubber and metal mounting pieces, the black-rusty one I'll have to hunt, may not be able to find them all. So you can have it for a song. The mounting parts are easy to pull. The sway bar itself is a bitch.

Early W201 steering wheel (same horn ring pattern as W123, same splines, about 1-3/4" smaller diameter so more belly and leg room if you are not a munchkin)...got one. A little worn but no tears.

A radiator skid plate (no mounting bolts). Also have the oilpan plate. These were mike-81-240d's.

A nice tight steering gearbox.

A Garrett stock T3-045 turbo, California version. Still mounted to the trap ox. Spins freely. I'm guessing, when MB exchanged it for a new one without the trap ox, the owner kept this old (very low mileage) one, and when he scrapped the car last year simply placed this one on the front floor to get rid of it.

A (crappy) warning triangle and a (good) mounting clip.

722.311 transmission, taken from a 1985 European (gray market) (240 hp out of the engine) 500SE. Hole in the pan though, they do this at wrecking yards.

KKK K24 out of a 1987 300SD, about 1/2 millimeter side-to-side play.

Two GT2256V's out of early Sprinters, they'll need new CHRA's though.

65-millimeter exducer diameter extended-tip wheel to fit (with machining of the backplate) a GT2359V, same one as majesty78 has. New.

Complete set of Monark 261 nozzles from mercedessource, new in the packaging, includes an extra shims-set.

W123 nose bra from Colgan, used once, looks new.

Two MW pumps, good for cores. One might be useable.

An M pump, in excellent condition.

Rear headrests, palomino, excellent condition, from a 1985 (W126) 500SE.

Saab Blackstone intercoolers. Got two.

CoolingMist pump, just the pump, have two.

W126 seat heaters, front and rear, everything including the door switches.

160 MPH mechanical speedometer out of a 1978 300SD. Numbering is same font as W123 speedometers, looks like one.

Black dashboard, taken from a 1979 300TD but has the hole like for an idle knob. Might be a 240D dash. One small unobtrusive crack by the right speaker.

Several cruise control amps, untested.

Every console and door electric switch there is.

An original tool pouch, with tools.

One original Bridgestone spare tire, on the original Bundt, evidently used once.

A windshield, taken from the same 1979 300TD as the dashboard, not original, but very very good. Looks new to me. No rubber seal though. This of course would be local pickup only.

Hood stars and trunk emblems.

A 240D manual climate control, complete (blower, core, valves, controls, the whole shebang, took a whole day to pull it). Local pickup only (Seattle-Tacoma area).

1983 300D two-prong tach.

Trailer hitch taken from a W115. This is just a generic, bolts to the bumper and trunk floorpan. No wiring.

A W108 grille, with hood star, some rust in the back inside of the surround but all-around an excellent candidate for re-chroming.

I'll be posting other goodies here as I clear out my garage. Unless I win the lottery or gainful employment, whichever comes first, in which case this bazaar will vanish in the wink of an eye.

PM me with your best shot. Cash talks, everything else walks. I have just succeeded in linking PayPal to my checking account. Now how the devil...do you PayPal to my email address? Or is there some esoteric pay-to address I haven't figured out yet?

'87 300D Turbo "Roxanne" - #22 head - 400E brakes - EGR Delete - 17" Staggered AMG 5 spoke rims from CLK500 - 5 Spd manual
2007 Chevy 2500HD CCSB Duramax with about 400-500 rwhp depending on the tune I use Big Grin
1983 300D Silver Exterior/Black inside - Sold and will be missed, may we never meet in a PnP.

when someone wants to send you a payment....
They can look you up by your email address which is also your username.
The payee would select the 'send money' tab
Then, use the 'gift' option to avoid fees. Or choose the 'goods/services' option and paypal will take like 10% of the total, presumably offering some sort of legal financial protection for the parties involved.

I would prefer to sell the combination. I really have not had time to do price research, and do not expect to have time for the next week at least. So, I invite offers via PM. If no serious offers materialize from this forum, then starting perhaps one week from now I will start putting these items up on eBay and/or local Craigslist.

Well, my email address is not "JustPassinThru" so you will need, I presume, my hotmail address (which is hidden on this forum, though several of you know it) then.

If an offer seems good enough, I will provide the offerer the email address I signed up to PayPal with. Will that work?

I would prefer to do the goods/services option. That protects both parties.

Of course, a good ol' U.S. Postal Money Order also works.

I will of course post pictures in response to individual specific questions.

PP is very easy once you tinker with it. I suggest you create an invoice and you can save that invoice and keep re-using it. The invoices will end up being sequentially numbered. That way, you can think about what info you want in it. Then, you just send that invoice to the buyer's email. Too easy. PM or call me if you need help. It was really daunting for me at first, but after I got over the fear of trying it out, it was very simple and I actually prefer to use it, even though you lose some money to the fees.

Yes, but my finances have improved to the point where I no longer need to sell anything, and I haven't decided whether to keep it or not. I wish winmutt would allow me to edit the thread title appropriately, to reflect the fact that this sale bazaar is no longer open.

The '85 300D, the one I hit the deer with, I'm having its nose straightened back out this week. Can't decide yet whether to give its existing OM617a some Super Floyds and a GT 2359V or...change motors entirely --that is, wait until I put my OM606.962 into one of my '87 300TD's, then put the recipient car's OM603 into the '85 300D.

If I go this latter route, then I would be willing to sell the '79 non-EGR turbo exhaust manifold, since I will no longer have a use for it.

But, that decision won't be made for a few months yet.
