For Sale: Complete Driveshaft for W123 Chassis Platform. Since it looks unlikely I will have a need for this anytime soon, I am selling my almost new driveshaft. I acquired this driveshaft in August 2011. It is also modified with grease fittings by the company. This is a very nice upgrade along with the new driveshaft. It is warranted by the factory for 50,000 or 5 years-- I called them and they indicated no problem with the transfer of the warranty. Obviously, I will work to get something in writing to verify this from the company. I have less than 3,000 miles on the driveshaft. My 1985 300D MB (automatic) was totaled on 10/21/2011 (hood flew up, smashed my windshield, bent cowl, and “pulled” hood hinges out from their pockets. Insurance company totaled the car.) This driveshaft has been sitting in my garage ever since. I paid $575.00 for the driveshaft, and it was well worth every penny. No more shimmy in the butt while driving, it was nicely balanced, new bearings and seals, nice black paint job, plus one can add a shot of grease as needed. Willing to sell and sacrifice at $400.00 plus shipping. I will add pictures this evening or tomorrow at the latest. Shipping should be somewhat cheap because it will fit in a tube. PM me if interested. I can ship it Greyhound or UPS. Thanks.
