Hey guys,

Is there anyone selling larger elements for the M pumps in the USA?

I am not intending on "going Ape-Sh*t" on building the pump to put out more power, but want to make sure that the fuel volume is greater than the VE pump I'm going to replacing with the MW pump.

Here is a link to the thread I started about the project last year:

From a Dyno test lab. I came with a Getrag 717.433 5-speed and in a nicely constructed wood crate with MBZ logos on it.

The engine had only 100 hours of testing when I got it.

Here is a picture of it with the Atlas II transfer case mounter to it:

Sweet.

Why MW vs M? You can get 6mm M elements easily off used 98-99 cars. The similarly bored-out 3.5L used 5.5mm elements, so 6mm should be a boost over stock. For larger may as well go for 7.5mm, and it won't be from the US.

OOPS! My goof... it is an M pump!

I already have the pump from a OM602 2.5l.

If you would have any interest in a set of modified (or not) Chinese 10mm elements, I am getting ready to order some for a couple of MWs I have to do.

I re-grind the end of injection helix to reduce the fueling rate.

There may be another option but I have to check with a different supplier first.

EDIT: My turn to OOPS! I just saw that you were mistaken and that you have a M pump. Disregard the above then.

Hey OM616, I have a MW pump out of an '85 mercedes and I have been looking for someone that can upgrade the pump elements. I'd like to upgrade to larger elements. What I am looking for is someone experienced with this type of modification, that can build the pump or directions to them. Any help or advice will be appreciated. It is a PES 5 MW 55/320 RS 16 w/ RW375/2200 MW28-3 governor housing or similar (newer) What else do I need to replace these elements? Is there a reseal/rebuild kit necessary for this scope of repair?

The original title stated that the OP was looking for MW elements, but turns out he as an M pump, so I don't want to hijack his thread. I will PM you later, as I am late for dinner lol.
