04-29-2009, 09:33 AM #1I just put new brakes on my 1980 w116 300sd and want to swap them to a 1980 w123 240d is that possible? I was trying to convert the w116 to a 4spd stick but I'm am buying a 1980 240d 5spd I'll probably just swap the turbo engine in to the 240 instead

But the same set up is on an early w126 and will also work as well!
You have to replace both the calipers and rotor because the caliper has to be wider! but it's a bolt on upgrade no modification required!

But the same set up is on an early w126 and will also work as well!

80 300sd hy35, front mount intercooler, w115 intake, rack limiter removed, Alda removed, full load turned up, boost, ebp, trans, pyro, egr delete, 3.5" exhaust, e-fan, 16x8 rims with, 245/50 tires, lowered, bilstien 5100's, 12" front brakes, 2.65:1 diff.

10 mistsubishi fuso service truck.
And they fit under the stock 14"s. ~11" vented. I put the w126 brakes on my w116 so we are putting my brakes on a friends w123tdt.
