Are there any electronic hp calculator which measure G force during acceleration, that that gives a useful measurement of HP and torque? I heard that you can download an App to your Iphone which do the job but I doubt that it will be very accurate. Maybe there are some electronic box you install in your car, punch in the total weight, type of car, etc and it calculate the hp and torque every time you accelerate?
would be great to have every time you do an adjustment or change somethingSmile
Not everyone have a dyno in their backyardConfused

There are a few of those.

G-tech Pro

Performance box

and others...

Android has apps like "torque" or "adyno" and actually they work quite accurately IF the vehicle data are typed in as close to reality as possible.

Mercedes Benz W210 E-Class 320CDI, lowered 2.5", 18" AMG wheels, Decat, EGR removed, Tumble flaps removed, C30 AMG injectors, 400kpa MAP, Custom GT2566XTV turbo, SW tweaked to 300+hp/750NmBig Grin

I guess I need to get a droid then because my professor refuses to let me use the dyno our department has, but he lets other people use it for some reason haha

-1982 300D Turbo, 280k miles, ALDA apparently maxxed, fram 8038, 12 lbs boost, non-egr manifolds, W/M injection, 4 brake light mod, Gen II w126 front rotors/calipers, 4-speed swap
In the works: A/W IC, adjust pump, turbo rebuild (w/60 trim comp wheel)
-1980 300SD, 110k, project car. Goal is to get it lookin' like it did on the showroom floor (body and interior wise, not necessarily under the hood )
-1974 240D, FRESH PAINT!!!!!!

I have a G-tech pro. good for g- force, 0-60 times, and 1/4 mile times. But the hp figures are way off. Of course I could be doing something wrong. I should try it again now that I have a new engine in.

I have seen reports that Torque for android is pretty consistent & for testing improvements, that should be adequite.

I will go for the G-TECH/Pro SS FANATIC. I think the 199$ is a good price. I will report back with my experience with the unit.
