Hi
I briefly mentioned on here before that I was planning an OM606 + 722.6 transplant from a '99 E300 into a 1979 Jaguar. I have only just started removing the engine and box + wiring from the donor car in the last 2 weeks. I really want to achieve the challenge of getting the whole thing running on the orignal electronics - ideally removing the electronic key and immobiliser crap.

However if this proves to be too time consuming my backup plan is what is suggested on here all the time - fitting the mechanical pump from a 603 turbo and also either fitting a mechanically controlled auto box, convert to manual or fit an independent controller to the 722.6.

As I am in Ireland though there were no 603 turbos sold here or in the UK so I've no easy access to the pump. Where is the best place to source a turbo 603 pump and roughly how much should one cost - I don't really need to modify it for major power - if I got more or less what was on the stock E300 that would do for now as this will be a daily driver.

If you had waved $150 plus postage at me three days ago, I could have gotten you a just-overhauled OM603 IP, Bosch # 0 400 076 992, from a 1987 300SDL. Tomnik tells me that his excellent custom-made elements can be built into it, even though it is an earlier-style model of this pump. But, regrettably, the car went to the crusher yesterday afternoon.

Gone but not forgotten: two W123 sedans and two W124 wagons.
W124 1987 300TD wagon, for sale, $1000 (some assembly required).

OK Thanks for the replies people. Good to have a baseline. I am almost done ripping out the wiring for the engine and gearbox from this E300 - there's a lot of it.
Does anyone know of any conversions that have successfully used the factory electronics - web searches throw up very little information on this.
