Does anyone know if elements used in a counter clockwise rotation m injector pump would work in a clockwise rotation m injector pump is there a difference in the elements? or are they the same?

The difference of elements in sense of rotation in the barrel depends on which side of the element the rod works. MW and M pumps are different here.
Please post IP numbers of the 2 Ms you are talking about. The elements might be interchangeable between Ms.

When talking about sense of rotation of the IP itself, this is a question of the IP's cam. The cams are designed for one sense rotation.
I believe there is also an indication of sense of rotation in the IP#.

The difference of elements in sense of rotation in the barrel depends on which side of the element the rod works. MW and M pumps are different here.

Basically yes.
This IP belongs to a power generator with i.e. 2,7 l LOMBARDINI engine of 1967-1981 and 40 to 60 HP.
The rod is the same side as on our M IPs. The rotation of the cam does not affect the stroke movement of the plunger, so it could fit.
But I tird to check the spare parts in the area of the element and all were specific to this IP.
Try to get a sample and compare (if the parts are available at all).
