Just checking to see what the interest is out there.I paid $500.00 for the entire set-up and I know that the shipping for the entire set up is about $150.00. I would be willing to sell it for what I paid for it.

I have a 4 speed manual trans that was designed originally for the 300D --EG 3.0 liter OM617.9XX engine.

This would include original, OEM shift rods (not cut and threaded ones being adapted), the trans cross member (no fab needed), and correct from the factory drive shaft (just the front smaller piece), and the trans., and other miscell pieces that I got. I have had it about 2 months, but my car got totaled, but I have a lead on something else.

Just seeing what the interest is out there.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that Santa will pay me a visit with my tranny super wish !!!!

PM if anyone is interested. I got this off the PP forum, manys' favorite forum out there. LOL. It is sitll in the box, never used.

I woule be interested except california is a long way from south carolina, and most of my spending money just went towards a new gun safe last week Wink

-1982 300D Turbo, 280k miles, ALDA apparently maxxed, fram 8038, 12 lbs boost, non-egr manifolds, W/M injection, 4 brake light mod, Gen II w126 front rotors/calipers, 4-speed swap
In the works: A/W IC, adjust pump, turbo rebuild (w/60 trim comp wheel)
-1980 300SD, 110k, project car. Goal is to get it lookin' like it did on the showroom floor (body and interior wise, not necessarily under the hood )
-1974 240D, FRESH PAINT!!!!!!

Let me know. Greyhound was $100 or so. I will have to check the receipt.

Hmmm my transmission has shifted hard on 3-4 since I got the car (5 years?) and is now starting to flare on 3-4, any idea how difficult this would be to install?

Being that it was originally for a 300d 617 5 cylinder it should be the simplest option and extremely rare!

300d with factory 4 spds are rare as hens teeth

Most people have modified 240d setups witch have to get custom shift rods and cross members not to mention the 300d flywheels are heaver than the 240d so it wont have as many vibration issues

If you want a 4spd manual 300d this is defiantly the way to goBig Grin

I would buy it if i could.
I strongly urge you to buy this if you want a om617 with a 4speed stick behind it.

Greazzer, curious as to if this "kit" comes with the clutch pedel assembly and whatnot?

Hey guys,

Yes, clutch pedal assembly is included. The only thing NOT included is the maintance items, EG clutch kit. BUT, it's all there and NO fabrications needed, that is the rods are there, the trans crossmember (or whatever you call it), driveshaft front piece (no welding), et cet. The only major item I did not get was the FW in the kit. I will get some pictures together by the weekend. Sorry for the delays, it's just working 14+ hours, getting home late, and I am already taking 10+ pictures a night for other parts that I am selling, but I am not overall happy with my pictures, but that is what I get for rushing around.
