I'm sure it simply communicates over CAN, so the wiring diagram is not going to tell you want signals it responds to, just that the CAN bus goes into it.

If you put the IDI module for a 722.6 equipped car with the engine it should work. Your big problem is going to be the tcu and transmission are not set up to handle the significant torque of the 606.
It will work but may start having issues after a while. If you put the tcu and rear gears and transmission with the motor it would be as factory. The tcu receives engine and traction data from the CAN bus.

ok,thanks for the info!the engine has a 603 pump so its got no electronics.so my plan is to use the transmission as it is and dont remove any of the electronics and wiring in the car.

That will not work. The transmission control unit requires engine torque data for calculating shifts.
If you want to run a mechanical pump and the 722.6 then the PCS standalone is the only option.

It requires to be set up to your vehicle info. Like tps, shifter, vehicle speed, and engine rpm.
From there you have to set some shift points. Simple tables for mph and throttle position. This can be tailored to your driving wants. The starter calibrations have good pressure scales. You will only have to mess with those if you want. You can download the tuning software from PCSs website and play with it without buying the system. The setup wizard and the calibration windows are all you would have to use. The transmission setup is already set up for you.
