nothing like freshly machined parts.

this is the start to my turbo header to mount my HE351Ve
to a OM603.

I will update this thread with progress

tubular will be too difficult for me. but i could manage a sort of log style one!

this is awesome keep us updated!

the primary tubes are a bit larger, and the collector area is a bit larger from stock, so this will flow much better then stock US or Euro.

but the main reasons I went with a log style over a tubular tuned header are:

I am not looking for maximum power output, so the minor benefits of a tuned header are not needed

the thickness of walls have better insulating properties vs. thin-wall tube.

while a long tube header will flow better at higher RPM and create a bit more horsepower, a log style with shorter exhaust paths to turbo will improve low-end torque.

and the biggest reason: not enough room in the W107 engine bay for a tubular header and this turbo !
